The story is set during the war between the Empire of the Republic of Katjvarna Kioka.

We follow the tumultuous daily Ikuta, a lazy young but extremely intelligent soldier who became one of the greatest strategists of war.

Beside him stands Yatorishino, an ambitious and daunting girl who intends to climb the ladder with him.

It all starts when Yatorishino Ikuta forces to take the exams to become a high-ranking officer.

It was during a test off their coasts that candidates are stranded behind enemy lines and make the meeting a mysterious girl they decide to help.
